Helping you find your voice...
Every person is unique, and the approach I take with every fellow musician is different. However, there are certain fundamentals - the music theory - that enrich every musician's palette. My approach is to make sure that your playing is grounded in theory, but with an emphasis on soul. The ultimate goal, after all, is for you to be able to express yourself!
Printed material...
I will never hand you documentation and say, "OK, study this." Everything you receive will be explained in a lesson. Here is a sample: a finger exercise I give everyone early on.
Comfortable location...
The lessons are taught in my home, with access to amplification. I'm at the corner of Parker and Alma (about a half-mile west of 75; about three miles north of the George Bush). I do have a cat and a dog - they are put in other rooms during lessons, but for those with severe allergies, we can discuss other options.
